We have now had our Bunkhouse Bed and Breakfast for about a year and a half and in that time we've had dozens of interesting and appreciative guests--and that's the really fun part of doing this.  Many thanks to all of you who stayed here this past year and we wish you joy and peace in the New Year!

We really are still here...
We spent the summer working hard to open our new Barn Loft space for business and it's up and running and doing well.  However, it consumed all our energy and only now have things slowed down enough to try to communicate what we've been up to.  Recently we spent the fall doing some major landscaping to our backyard.  Now when you come to visit, you will have more than a patch of dirt for your view!

Although it feels like spring will never arrive (it snowed much of today and never got out of the 30s), I do have faith that nature will renew herself.  It will only take a few days of warm sunshine to see life burst wide open with leaves, flowers and color once again!

A Day on the Farm 03/14/2011

We recently took our grandson, Rawley, to visit Rosebrush Farm which belongs to a friend of ours. She has 15 new baby goats in addition to her turkeys, chickens, a horse, many sheep, dogs and cats--and llamas. Could there be a better way to spend a day?

Where do we live? 03/04/2011

Where do we live?  This week with about 16 inches of snow pouring down, it felt like  we must either live farther north or at a higher elevation.  It was truly lovely and maybe the best part was knowing that we are headed out of winter--not into it.

Winter Stillness 01/24/2011

January seems like the month that should be spent curled up in a warm place with a cup of  tea or coffee and a good book.  It's also a good time for reflection as the new year unfolds and the opportunities for greater self awareness are up to us.
